Jonathan C. Callister was born in Pasadena, California and raised in Southern California and Northern Utah. He is a managing partner of the Las Vegas law firm of Callister & Frizell. Mr. Callister practices in the areas of business, commercial, tax, estate, asset protection, real estate, healthcare transactions and planning. He has structured and implemented numerous business and estate transactions and plans from multi-million dollar business purchases, formations (including structuring physician related transactions and business formations), secured transactions and estate plans to employment agreements, real estate purchases, and tax disputes.
Mr. Callister earned his bachelor’s of science degree with a major in Behavioral Science and Health. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State (Penn State) Dickinson School of Law where he received a number of distinctions.
After law school Mr. Callister earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from the University of Florida which has assisted in his ability to advise clients in tax disputes, audits, and the tax consequences of numerous business and estate planning transactions.
Mr. Callister has lectured to numerous groups on proper structuring of business and estate plans, including their tax consequences. He represents a broad range of clients from banks, numerous physicians, physician groups and other professionals, including other law firms, to restaurants, clubs, and other small to moderately sized private businesses, to individuals with specific planning or transactional needs.
