Dr. Xiaokun Montez was born and raised in China. She obtained her MD and PhD from Shanxi Medical University and Beijing Medical University in China respectively. She then completed her Pediatric Residency training in Jackson, Mississippi.
Upon finishing her training, Dr. Montez immediately set out to build her own pediatric clinic in Evanston, Wyoming. It was a battle from struggle to triumph, an invaluable experience in her career. Five years later, she established another highly successful private practice in Marion, North Carolina. As a native Chinese, Dr. Montez decided to return to Shanghai to practice medicine for 3-4 years to serve the Chinese children before relocating to Las Vegas.
Dr. Montez listens to parental concerns and believes that parental instinct towards their children illnesses is almost always right. She also thinks that better informed parents can take better care of their children, good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle are the key to disease prevention.
Dr. Montez is a Board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina and Nevada.
In leisure, Dr. Montez is an avid reader of various subjects. She loves to cook different cuisines from Thai, Indian to French, Italian, just to name a few. She and her husband enjoy exploring different cultures and to learn from the people and their wisdom.
